Privacy Policy

The short version: browsing this site collects nothing about you. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and no forms.
Who this covers
This policy applies to ashtonwilliamallen.com (the "Site"), operated by Ashton Allen ("I", "me"). Projects hosted on subdomains, such as tools and demos, are separate applications and are not covered by this policy. Some of them use their own analytics or advertising, which they disclose in their own privacy policies. This policy also does not cover any third-party website the Site links to; those sites have their own policies.
Information I collect
None. I do not ask you to create an account, I do not run analytics or advertising scripts, and there are no forms on the Site that collect a name, email address, or any other personal information. I do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because I do not have any to share.
Cookies
The Site sets no cookies of its own and uses no tracking pixels, fingerprinting, session replay, or similar technologies. If your browser stores anything while visiting, it is ordinary caching of the page's own files.
Server logs
The Site is served by a third-party hosting provider. Like essentially every web host, that provider automatically generates technical request logs in the normal course of delivering the page. Those logs can include:
- the IP address the request came from
- the date and time of the request
- the page or file requested and the response status
- the browser's user-agent string and referring URL, if the browser sends them
I do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and I do not combine them with any other data. They are retained by the host for a short period for operational and security purposes, under that provider's own privacy policy and retention schedule, and are then discarded.
Embedded and linked content
Some pages link to projects, demos, or tools hosted elsewhere. Following such a link takes you to a service that is not covered by this policy. If a page on the Site ever embeds third-party content, that will be disclosed on the page in question.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and since it collects no personal information, none is knowingly collected from children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal information held about you. I hold no personal information about visitors to the Site, so there is nothing for me to produce or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact me and I will look into it.
Changes to this policy
If I add anything that changes the picture, such as analytics or a contact form, I will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature goes live. Continued use of the Site after an update means the revised policy applies.
